Days Between Dates Calculator

Count days between two dates with optional inclusive counting, business days, weekends, and monthly breakdowns.

Count days between two dates

The Days Between Dates Calculator shows how many calendar days, business days, weekend days, full weeks, approximate months, and years fall between a start and end date.

Use inclusive counting when the end date should count as part of the period. The monthly breakdown helps explain long ranges and work schedules.

When inclusive day counting matters

Inclusive counting is useful for event spans, memberships, trips, hotel stays, and benefit periods. For elapsed time from one date to another, leave the end date excluded. Business-day counts currently exclude Saturdays and Sundays; check local holidays separately when needed.

Days between dates FAQ

Does the calculator include the start date?

The start date is the first counted date. The end date is counted only when you enable the include-end-date option.

Are holidays excluded from business days?

No. Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays vary by country, region, and employer, so verify holiday calendars separately.

Can the end date be before the start date?

Yes. The calculator shows the direction and counts the absolute number of dates in the range.
