Plan production rates before you build the line
The Satisfactory Production Chain Calculator turns target output rates into machines, raw resources, power demand, and recipe dependencies. It is most useful before construction: pick the item, set the rate per minute, choose recipe and miner assumptions, then read the chain from final product back to raw inputs.
Workflow
- Add one or more desired outputs with target rates per minute.
- Choose recipe strategy, miner type, node purity, clock speed, and Somersloop amplification.
- Review machine counts, raw inputs, power demand, and warnings before treating the plan as build-ready.
- Adjust alternate recipes or target rates when the chain shows a bottleneck or awkward machine count.
Best for
- Factory expansions where resource demand and machine count need to be known before building.
- Comparing standard recipes, eligible alternate recipes, overclocking, and amplification.
- Late-game products where byproducts, fluids, and raw resources become hard to track manually.
Planning notes
- The result is a production model; layout, logistics, belts, and floor space still need in-game design.
- Rounded machine counts are easier to build, while exact rates are better for diagnosing bottlenecks.
- Warnings usually point to missing automation, unsuitable recipes, or a dependency chain that deserves another check.
